WELLNESS COMMITTEE

ere at Greenfield Public Schools we believe we have a responsibility to improve the health and well-being of our students and school community.  To make our school environment healthier, our school district is forming a Wellness Committee.

The purpose of the committee is to bring together representatives from the school community who can assist with addressing issues facing the health and well-being of our students.

Along with school staff members, administration and School Committee members, we are looking for 3 or 4 parents, guardians and caregivers to participate.

We are committed to making positive changes in policies and programs that affect the health of our students and staff.

Our first meeting will be held after school in March. We anticipate holding meetings every six weeks during the school year.

If you are interested or have any questions, you are encouraged to contact Melissa Bednarski, GPS District Nurse Leader, at 413-772-1317 or email melbed1@gpsk12.org.

ATTENDANCE

We would like to remind all families that it is critically important for our students to be in school every day.  There are some legitimate reasons for students to miss school, such as illness, but we have students who are not attending on a regular basis.  If your child is having challenges getting to school on a regular basis, please reach out to the building principal, social worker or nurse.  We look forward to working with you to support your child’s success in school.

Take care

Christine
