The district nursing staff will begin mandatory health screenings on Monday. This includes vision and hearing screenings. Please contact your building nurse or Melissa Bednarski, Nurse Leader, firstname.lastname@example.org, with any questions.
The district will be launching our new website by the end of September. We realize there will be some minor errors once we roll the new site out, but if you find something, please just reach out to the Superintendent’s Office and we’ll be happy to keep working on it! The website address will remain the same www.gpsk12.org
REENVISIONING OUR SCHOOL FACILITIES
There will be a subcommittee meeting on October 5, 2023, at 4:15 p.m. We are in the process of looking at school schedules and the impact on staff for the potential reconfiguration of our schools for September 2024. The agenda will be posted at least 48 hours prior to the meeting.
All Student–Parent/Guardian Handbooks are available on our website under each school. Please review the handbooks for important information.
The district will periodically send out information related to health and wellness through our website and school newsletters. Please check the Health & Wellness page of the website for ongoing updates.
School, district, and emergency communications are most often sent through the School Messenger program. We are including all families in the School Messenger list at the start of school. If you do not wish to receive these communications, you must contact the school and request to opt-out.
Please seriously consider this decision. Communication about emergencies, weather-related closures, or unanticipated early school dismissals would all be communicated in this manner, as will attendance calls if your student is absent but we have not received a call or note from the parent/guardian. Given this important information, we strongly urge you to remain subscribed to School Messenger.
