ECLIPSE IN APRIL

There will be a total solar eclipse on April 8, 2024.  In this area, the times of the eclipse will intersect with our dismissal times.  The district will provide each student and staff member with a pair of eclipse glasses.  Students, families, and staff will be provided with information about the eclipse several times including today in this Update.  We strongly encourage all families to read the information as precautions are needed to protect your vision during the eclipse.

Please reach out to your building administrator, building nurse, or Melissa our nurse leader with any questions.

SCHOOL CALENDAR

The School Committee voted to approve the 2024-2025 Academic Calendar.  It is available on the district website under the Calendar tab.

WELLNESS PROGRAM

The School Committee voted to endorse the updated Wellness Program for the district.  This program outlines how the district will encourage healthy lifestyles for our students.  It is available on the Health and Wellness page of the website or here.  We encourage families to read the program and contact your child’s building administrator or nurse or Melissa Bednarski, nurse leader with any questions.

Take care,

Christine
