We hope families can attend these Playground Nights!

The GHS Band Concert will be May 16 at 6:30 in the GHS Auditorium – it’s free and open to the public.

The GHS Band will also march and perform in the Memorial Day Parade on May 27 at 10 am.

May 1 was Principal Appreciation Day!  A big THANK YOU to all of our district principals and associate principals for all of their hard work and efforts to support of our district students, staff, and families.  Greenfield is fortunate to have such a wonderful group of building-level administrators.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 6 – May 10 this year.  The GPS teaching staff does amazing things with and for the students of Greenfield every day!  May 8 is also a special day to recognize the School Nurses in our district as well and recognize all they do for our students. Please join me in saying THANK YOU to all of our teachers if you get the opportunity to see or reach out to them.

In addition to Teacher Appreciation Week, please know how much all staff in our district do every day to make sure our students have a clean, safe, and supportive environment – every member of the GPS community plays a role in supporting our students.

Grade 4 Step Up Day to GMS will be May 29th.  The event will occur during the school day and more information will be shared with families along with field trip permission slips to visit GMS!

The expected last day of school is June 14, 2024, which will be an early release for students and staff.

Mr. Morrison will be moving on from GHS effective May 17, 2024, rather than June 30.  We wish him the best of luck in his next adventure and thank him for the time spent at GHS.  Roland Joyal, retired principal and executive director, has agreed to serve as the interim GHS principal through the end of the year.

The next SEPAC meeting is scheduled for May 8 from 5:00 – 6:30 pm at the Greenfield Middle School library.  The meeting is also available through Google Meet- you can find the link on the district website under Departments and Pupil Services.

Greenfield Community College will be hosting an expo on Saturday, May 4 from 10 am – 2 pm on the East Lawn.  A variety of services and resources will be featured.

Take care and I hope everyone enjoys the warmer weather!
