We are excited to announce that this year’s recipient of the Superintendent’s Award for Academic Excellence is: Maree-Ellis Benitez.
Ellis, is a well-rounded individual who is a conscientious student, a dedicated athlete, and a
natural-born leader. She is a vibrant individual whose enthusiasm is infectious both inside the
classroom and out on the field. Ellis is a brilliant young woman who is an excellent role model
for younger students and has earned the utmost respect from both peers and faculty due to her
remarkable presence here at Greenfield High School.
Dr. DeBarge and Principal Morrison surprised Ellis with a bouquet, balloons, and a certificate (see picture below). There will also be a banquet next month to celebrate all the Franklin County student award recipients.
